"Social Networking in Business" Seminar
More than two-thirds of the world's online population now use social networks and blogs, according to research firm Nielsen Online.
Apparently, that makes it the fourth most popular online category after search, portals and PC software, pushing it ahead of personal email for the first time. What's more, their usage is growing more than twice as fast as any other category: last year it accounted for 9.3% of all time spent online around the world, which is half as much again as the previous year.
The UK is one of the most enthusiastic adopters of social media: Facebook has a greater market penetration in the UK than anywhere else, while social networks and blogs more generally now account for one in every six minutes spent online in this country. We're also more likely to access these sites via our mobile phones than anywhere else in the world.
If you think this is hype, ASDA, Debenhams, Carphone Warehouse, Ebuyer, Dixons and Ebay UK have very recently entered this market. It is now in the mainstream.
There are hundreds of social networking sites; there are tools, wiki's, micro blogging sites and social bookmarking sites to name a few.
Are you being left behind by these changes?
Now help is at hand, Howard Cox (TDI) and Laurence Ainsworth (www.exigent-uk.com) are running a series of full day seminars on how to use Social Networking to get you up to speed with this new trend and learn how it can deliver results for both you and your clients' businesses.
We will explain how Social Network Marketing is changing the way we do business.
- We'll identify the most important sites you need to know about
- How you can use social bookmarking to improve your exposure on the web
- How to exploit article marketing
- How you can use blogs to rapidly increase your profile on Search Engines

"A very worthwhile day. I definitely need to follow it up with more practical help on how one actually takes a SN strategy forward Howard and Laurence do a great job of demystifying Social Networking, particularly for those of us who grew up thinking the only things that twittered were birds!" Nick Duthie
"I found the day a good introduction to social networking - it has given me a guide as to how to start and where to focus my energies on. I found the day very informative, well structured and relevant to my needs. also it was run in both an enjoyable and professional way" Andy Homewood www.enjoy-able.co.uk
"Very enlightening, I found, but I would be concerned to set off into SN without some guidance on strategy, and a helping hand to avoid making a mess, that would be regretted later. Excellent instant boost for novices, and more advanced folk" Philip Ingham www.wayfairgroup.co.uk
"Very useful day, almost too much material to cover. Great introduction to social networking. Plenty of things to consider for my business and to recommend to my clients. Clearly shows the future of 21st century marketing." Stuart Lines

"Very useful and informative. A lot to take in but with the associated CD you do have more time to digest it all. A very useful and informative seminar giving an excellent introduction to Social Networking. The whole day was very professional and both Howard and Lawrence clearly know their stuff.
